This dyno chart made me pull my Buy-a-1290! trigger

The 1290 came in second to the BMW S1000R in the Motorcyclist's "In Thrust We Trust" naked bike shoot-out.

Look at this chart, the 1290 has more torque from 3500 rpm up than the BMW has at its peak!

In that case maybe you should consider a second hand Suzuki B-King, this is my B-King dyno chart (105ft-lbs)

Not really comparing like with like though. The old Suzuki is heavier and taller geared. My ZZR has more torque even than the B King but on initial bite and brutality off the throttle my old 990 is noticeably sharper only losing out as the revs rise. I rode the S1000R not long ago and it was the same story, the 990 was punchier.

My guess is that off the throttle acceleration in road situations the 1290 would murder the Suzuki!!

I'm tempted for the first time to (ab)use my admin privileges to rename this tread in: "Mine is bigger than yours!"

Mine is so powerful they had to resurface the roads here twice since I have it.
It also moved Australia closer to New Zealand when I did a burn out, they asked me to do it in the other direction tomorrow to put it back where it was...

I'm not sure if it's the colder roads lately but since I installed the Austin Racing can when I pop a wheelie (TC off, sport mode) the back slides out for a sec.. Seriously torquey stuff.

What I find interesting is that they have increased the engine capacity by 30% and the HP has increased by about 65%

110 HP to 150 HP = about 36%

1000 cc - 1300 cc = about 30%

Seems quite linear to me.
