It keeps the talking heads from discussing real issues at length.

It was windy don't get me wrong but we always go nuts if the weather goes a bit mad. Personally I love a good storm.

Yes, it was just typically over-hyped, media-hysteria bollox. Just a bit windy. And gave a load of people the opportunity to skive off work. Train companies, of course, took the opportunity to not run and generally offer a bad service as usual.
