Just wondering what members have for Street or Track performance on the car or truck side? I have three '69 440 Mopar cars: A '69-1/2 440 6BBL (SIX PACK) road runner, a '69 440 Dodge Dart "M-code" engine and a '69 GTX 440 4-speed car...............then on the complete other end of the spectrum I have a '72 BMW 2002, with two Weber side drafts, header, lowered, Bilsteins, Eibach's, camber plates, etc., that i autocrossed and track day'ed and a completely stock '73 2002 tii............and a couple of hot rod VW's, 80's Sicrocco and GLI again with Bilstein's Eibach's, lowered, yada, yada, blab, blab, blab

this is not my '69 440 6BBL (more commonly known as the "SIX PACK" for the 3 x 2BBL Holley carbs) road runner but it is one of three known to have been painted from the factory in gold (Spanish Gold Y4 paint code). This one is a hardtop (like the GTX above) and the rear windows roll down, and the other gold car is also a hardtop, where my car is a coupe and has a "B" post and flip out rear quarter windows. They only made 1432 of these cars in the Spring of 1969. I'm in the process of restoring my A12 car right now but I keep getting side tracked with my Super Duke lately

This is my 4wheeled street muscle:

My 1991 Nissan Micra 1.2 Super S
The picture is from about 5 years ago. Since then it's lost the sideskirts and wide arches. (had to remove them to do some rust repair/welding, couldn't be bothered to put them back on).

When I'm waiting for my latest $500 handful of parts to address another KTM factory design flaw, I roll on one of these bad boys right here:

Image

That's right - pure green open-top muscle, vintage 1968. Complete with the ginormous Wald basket out back and quick-adjust seatpost! Due to SD related expenses, I couldn't swing the "Three-Pack" Sturmey-Archer model, but the Bendix single is less fuss and easier to rebuild. Gets surprisingly decent mileage too, and you can easily tote 16 gal. kegs of beer in that basket.

2001 Honda Civic 1.6i (no not the R version) every panel has some kind of dint of it from my Dad who owned it before me.

At 31 years of age I have never actually bought a car, always had hand-me-downs. Not really into cars, I appreciate a nice car but they are so damn expensive for what you get, and when you can get so much power out of a bike cheaply, why bother? im looking at buying a van though

My little car. It doesn't have a boatload of HP, only 265 HP, but it makes up for the lack of HP with torque - 425 lb ft at 1750 rpm.

Image

I won't race people off the line because it does have some turbo lag, but I've never been beaten in a roll on. The look on its victim's faces is priceless when I tell them its a diesel.

05 Holden Commodore SS Ute.

Image

Bought in Aus in 05 to take it to the UK. Couldn't drive it anywhere without answering a ton of questions.....what is it? where can I get one, how much was it, how fast does it go, 5.7 liters?...holy shit! etc, etc, etc.

Maffless tune, stainless exhaust, hi flow cats, BBS/ASA, 330hp at the wheels....needless to say it was a blast to drive on UK backroads (surprised quite a few 911s with how quickly this car could be hustled down the twisty bits). Good fun drifting around roundabouts as well.

Perfect car for having a little fun and still get the dirtbike to the MX track on Sundays. I miss it!

Stuck with a Nissan Titan currently. Waiting for GM to get off their asses and bring the Ute to the States.

I haven't even bothered with taking a picture of my car, but I recently bought a 2006 Citroen C1 because I started in a school 42km away, and I'm not good with public transport :-/

Picture of a car similar to mine:

1 litre - 68HP.

The important thing for me is that it's cheap and it runs above 40MPG almost all the time.. so that's okay

but Maico is your friend $400 later and it looked a bit more respectable...

Back from the states and decided to scratch an itch that had bugged me for a while..

Image

Lovely car, really enjoyed owning it and not too expensive to run. It took me a long time to find one without any driver aids - no stability or traction control and two wheel drive with the right spec.
Nowadays its a diesel Mercedes but thats a bit like crotchrocketys BMW......people just don't expect a diesel to go like that!

I drive a GTD Golf (Like a GTI but with a diesel donkey) for droning up and down motorways.

I'm going to buy either an old 911 or a TT with the DSG gearbox over winter as a summer weekend runabout / fun car.

When it's time to replace the Golf I will get a 3L BMW diesel - best diesel engine I have ever driven behind and a lot more fun that any diesel has any right to be!
