What's in a name?

I was thinking of all the last names that started out as proffessions.
This started rolling when I was thinking about the Who members and how strange it seems that someone would be reffered to by way of where they were located in a particular township.
Townsend or Middleton
If you want the best peat moss go to Townsend Pete.
You think Stoner started as part of a sub-masonry category.
I like Cooper and Tanner.

You don't get many Phyllis these days or Ethel.

I know 3 people with daughters called Emily now so might want to steer clear of that one.

I think Katie Marie is nice, irrespective of the KTM connotations.
