I watched that live as it happened! Ive never seen a wheel fall apart like that before in all the years ive watched bike racing

I wonder if the wheel had been in a crash before.
It's unusual for it to go like that, even if it was a manufacturing fault. I wonder if there was a hairline crack in one of the spokes from a previous impact.
