All my old stuff like: Metallica, AC DC, Nickleback, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Green Day, Velvet Revolver, The Clash, Primal Scream, etc etc
New stuff like: The Answer, Black Country Communion, Black Stone Cherry, WU LYF, Rival Sons, some of the death metal that my eldest boy is into but can't really get my head around, Papa Roach,
Also I'm listening to some of this Blue Grass/Heavy Pop fusion which seems pretty good.

I find I'm more of an individual track person building playlists made of tracks I like and divided up by mood/occasion more than anything else. For example I have an Autocom system which means my iPod plays when I'm on my road bike so I have a playlist for on the bike which is about 8Gb of tracks many of which are the only track on the list from that artist or whatever. Anyone else build playlists like this?

Just got back from the show. Mars Volta was great, but they only played for about an hour. Sound was crisp, epic jam session, their new drummer is awesome.

Soundgarden was super epic. About 60% of the songs were from Badmotorfinger, 30% from Superunknown, and 10% from that last album no one remembers just before they broke up. Matt Cameron is still easily the best drummer that emerged from the Seattle scene. Kim's guitar playing was good, nothing really blew my mind. Chris actually played a lot of the solos. Ben's bass playing was sort of like, yeah he's here because he is part of the original band. I think Kim covered a lot of his bass lines.

It was difficult to determine who won the Cat Wailing Vocalist award. When Cedric would wail it was mesmerizing, but when Chris started wailing the mountains started to crack. Probably because when Soundgarden took the stage the volume got about 50db louder, it was deafening.

One dude managed to make it on stage. As the bouncer when to tackle him, he totally booked it an dove at least 10 feet into crowd. He cleared the security line in front of the stage. There must have been about 5-6 feet between the security fence and stage, and he jumped from in front of the monitors. It was badass. The arena was seating room only, and no moshing, but after the first couple songs the first 10 rows of chairs were demolished, and pit ensued. For some reason I kept thinking Chris was singing "I'm gonna break my rusty chair".

Sounds like the set was a a good mix of their best then fella. Badmotorfinger is right up there in the greatest metal albums of all time imho!

That said......I am really getting into Fleet Foxes. !!
