I wonder if it retains a classic 2stroke powerband? I can't imaging many modern riders liking, understanding, or willing to put up with, an on/off switch where things go from sluggish to mental in a couple of hundred revs and then drop off to nothing a couple of grand later. Not to mention the frantic gear changes and absolutely no engine breaking.

Me.....I'd get one at the drop of a hat! But only if it was mental not tamed down with electronics. (Among other things I was investigating a used but immaculate Bimota VDue last week)

Those were the days! One wrong gear going into a corner and at the apex it was a flat," braaaaaaaaarp" and everyone passed you or conversely it was a gear too low and was red lining at the apex with nothing more to give.

You know, remembering the sound of those bikes, what I loved was when the engine went onto four stroking mode on the over run and then would clear and brake into a full- on two cycle scream when you cracked the throttle open. I was into triples, really miss 'em.
