In trying to get back to the posts that you-all know and love from me. I have a pondering that I was involved with yesterday eve. Do countries use the word mileage, that do not actually track distance in miles or do they have a word similar to kilometerage ?

If I'm not mistaken we use 'distancia' in Spanish. And it would be given in kms. Not time like in the US.

Good question, we have been metric in Oz since 1970 but most people still use imperial terms for a persons height (eg. That guy was 6ft 2") and mileage when discussing fuel economy ("whats your mileage"... "its 15km/L").
It would be confusing for visitors for sure...but "kilometerage" just doesn't sound right
