Gents,
Looking forward to letting this forum consume any free time for a while. Recently picked up an '08 sd, and couldn't be happier with its awesomeness. It has most of the common go fast parts, minus removing the secondaries, and has the basic akro tune, and farts through yoshi slip ons. I bought it with 10k miles, and have since then serviced it with new fluids and plugs. I was planning on a new waterpump, and a valve adjustment, but everything seems great at this juncture, other than some tuning issues with the colder weather. exhaust gaskets, graphite ring, are next on the list, and the left slip on is loose at the y pipe, which is getting re fitted as soon as i send it back to Yoshimura. Other plans are a fabricated belly scoop, some fabbed trumpets and more carbon fiber. - Ryan

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes! I'm learning more and more about this bike everyday... and how much oil it likes to consume. Maddog who is this magic man you speak of? Always looking to network with those kinds of people. I tend to do most of my own fabwork, but with an increasingly busy schedule with sema and baja coming up, that may be the best route.
I also posted in the tunecu thread with no reposnse yet, I am trying to find a better tune to suit the mods on the bike as its running lean. Any direction or members to contact? Thanks all.

Hi big fella. Welcome aboard.
A tip with the maps is to stay US as I got my SDR from the US dynoed and tuned but when I used Aussie fuel it ran WAY rich, I'm only guessing but I'd say anything from over the pond will make the bike run lean.
Can't wait to see what you do with carbon bits.
