Hi Guys,
My name is Ben and am in Perth Western Australia, long time forum stalker now only doing the hello post!
Bought my Superduke first week of 2015, a 2006 Titanium model, during my R Class Learning phase so was unable to test ride it.
Even if I wanted to I discovered it wouldn’t have been possible as the machine was struck down with a failed clutch slave. Lucky for me the seller was an honest sort and had priced and then discounted the machine appropriately during the sale negotiations.
He gave me a spare set of tyres, a stand and the usual uninstalled originals.
Giving the bike the once over and keeping in mind the recent history of the machine, essentially it saw little road time in 12 months, I did an oil, fuel filter, and brake fluid flush.
With the cactus clutch slave I thought it an opportune time to rebuild the master and replaced the perished clutch line with a custom jobbie from Enzed and fitted an Oberon slave and mounting plate.
Taking it for a ride I experienced the snatchyness everyone loves so, I ordered the CPR fab Rotty Box, SAS block offs, TuneECU cable and a Scott oiler as I decided that I didn’t want oiling the chain to slow me down before impromptu rides.
Removing the normal akra map installed I installed one of the ones that best suited the mods and set the secondary butterflies to stay at the % which placed them in the least restrictive position.
The other changes I have made to suit my taste have been the addition of daytime running lights, new indicators, KTM rearsets, Rizoma lowish bars and cutting the bill off the back.
Just flushed the cooling system which looked like it had been serviced in the recent past so I let it be.
Many more little things on the bike I keep on thinking about doing but preference is to ride rather than dismantle for now.
If anyone wants to cruise I like Sunday morning rides, before the lycra bikers get in the way.
Cheers,
Ben

Welcome mate. I always liked the Titanium models, they are often forgotten about but in the early days were considered the classy ones. Sounds like you've got a lot of the sensible mods done already, just ride and enjoy!

Welcome in, sounds like a well sorted bike now! I've always wanted to try an 06 to see if the steering really is as sharp as they say.
