Hi jmann, Welcome to the forum! btw this is my 20yo sons name also,(nick name,, full name is Jason).

this sounds like you may be describing both of the ktm lc8's i have owned, you may try using the clutch knob on the leaver and make it push the master

cylinder piston in as far as possible, do this and pumping the leaver as Freestyler recommended, you will most likely have a bubble in the system if you find a noticeable difference.

Hey jmann,

The transmission is a little notchey or clunky as other describe. Things that may help with that is to run a better synthetic oil, hopefully your bike is still running one.

If you do bleed the clutch system, you'll need to use mineral oil (not DOT4). You should be able to pick up Magura blood from most motorcycle stores that either have KTM's or dirt bikes.

I remember reading that there was an issue with the older clutch slave cylinders pre-07. In '07 they changed the slave cylinder and length of the clutch pushrod (pre-06), people in the Adventure world have upgraded to those.

If you're looking at doing an upgrade, I'd recommend getting yourself a Evoluzion slave cylinder (it comes in the fastest colour), along with an upgraded pushrod if need be. Both can be acquired from KTMTwins.Com

As for the last part, I hope you can make up for it otherwise you'll be living in the dog house. Surrendering credit cards to the S.O. usually helps.
