Hi everyone, time for me to creep out of lurkerdom.
I picked up this 2005 about a month ago, and have been meaning to post but the fall here in Sweden has been dry and warm enough to keep me on the road and off the forums...
Who am I kidding, Snow and Ice are the only things that are going to keep me off this thing - I'm thoroughly addicted, but I guess I'm preaching to the choir as far as that goes.
Anyway, a little about me. I'm a Minnesota native that met a Swedish girl and ended up over here, quite a few years ago (time flies!).
Raising kids and life in general has kept my on 4 wheels up until recently, and now was the time for an upgrade, but what to get? I tried to keep an open mind, and test rode everything from literbikes to cruisers -
- but then I threw my leg over this thing, and it felt just right. A fifteen minute test ride later, and I knew that I was taking this bike home.
Every ride I take assures me I made the right decision!
The bike came with a set of Remus GP cans, that had to come off... The inserts were removed and lost by the previous owner, and although I love the sound, there's just too much of it! The final decision to go stock was because my wife didn't appreciate the way the windows rattled when I fired it up at 6:30 AM *sigh*. So they stay off until I can source/build some new inserts.
I'm also looking into some of the common mods in the forums. We'll see what winter brings!
OK, that's about it for now, my coffee break is long since past. Time to get a little work done before I ride home!

There is something nice about an unmolested bike. In her current dress, she could still give you everything you need. there is a thread around here somewhere that decat's the existing exhaust, that may also be a direction to head. I'm travelling through the land of ten thousand lake this time next year. Minnesota is filled with great people and great scenery, it must have been a tough decision to leave.
Welcome in and I hope your stay is a long one.
