Feels great to announce that I would be getting hold of a 2007 SD this coming weekend! I've been lusting for one since the first time I heard one start up 3 years ago.
A little more info about myself, I'm 31 and have been riding the past 10 years. I currently own a DRZ SM and a 2006 Hayabusa. I sold off my 1997 Aprilia RS250 with the intention of liberating some cash towards the purchase of the SD.
Here in Singapore, motorcyclists are generally in it as a form of transport. But I would say that the bike scene is slowly maturing, no where near the standards of those I've seen in Australia and San Francisco but its a start.
Good riding roads in Singapore are NON-EXISTENT unless your idea of them are strict limits of 90kmh on the highways and 50kmh on minor roads with speed cameras at every other junction. So what we usually do is to grab our passport and head into Malaysia for our weekend blasts.
Looking forward to riding the SD soon!

Having own the SD for slightly over 24 hours already and I can say that I am still not very used to the bike's handling.
Maybe its unfair to compare the SD to a Hayabusa but I sure missed the long wheelbase of the Hayabusa! Especially when I was accelerating and the front end is fighting against me to go airborne. The SD wants to go up while I want to keep the rubber side down.
Then again, filtering through highway traffic has never been easier, like hot knife through butter!
Anyone have a good recommendation for aftermarket air filter and steering dampers?
