Hello, I don't do these forums much; so excuse me if I don't know the lingo or format folks usually use. After riding it now and again for about a year, I have recently aquired a 2008 SD Black from a riding buddy. I LOVE RIDING THIS MOTORCYCLE!! It has about 10,000 miles on it and I recently changed the oil and cleaned or replaced all the oil filters. This is not hard, but it is rather complicated compared to most engines. I also replaced the rear header downpipe, which had come unpressed or welded from its collar; again, not hard, but an extra pair of hands would be helpful for inexperienced wrenchers. I am running Q2s front and rear; they feel plenty good to me and actually last a while. The bike has Akrapovic Titanium cans and the ECU has been remapped appropriately. It also has the KTM tank bag setup; otherwise the bike is stock. I have some questions about mods and such that I will be asking in the appropriate forum venue; but I am very happy with this motorcycle; especially when I am doing the type of riding I most enjoy (roads with lots of curves and elevation changes). I have ridden it on two recent trips to the North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia mountains. Each trip has involved at least 600 miles of riding over three-day periods. The Super Duke has run great and been a blast to ride. I usually ride with the US Desmo Ducati Club (very accepting folks that do a lot of track days) and the SD fits in well with this group of bikes and riders. I have several motorcycles, some of which actually run LOL. I have a good bit of experience with newer and older British, Japanese, and German bikes and I know a lot of people who know a lot more than I do. I have worked on Ducatis, but they are not my strong suit; I know some gurus though. If you are coming to Birmingham (Alabama) for the Barber's Vintage Festival (highly recommended) and have questions about where to stay, where to eat, and where to ride; feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. That is about it for now.... Cheers, Mike

Another black beauty.
We have so many wonderful places to ride in the US and I envy you your riding location. I have been to Barber and marveled at the beauty both inside and out. Did you ride-camp on you journeys or carry plastic?
Bryson North Carolina and parts west toward the Dragon are high on my list of freat retirement areas.
There is not a shortage of wisdom on this site as most owners have hit the codger stage and have a few ugly tired beasts in thier garages waiting for arthritic hands to be layed upon them.
Do you make it to any round of the AMA races besides Barber?
Welcome in.

I think the name is Mike sold e-bikes. I'm guessing they are electric bikes but it could be some type of internet bike that lets you ride around instead of surf.
I could be wrong but solde is throwing me off.
