Hello everyone I'm Phil H from Anglesey.
Been lurking around on this forum for a while and have now put a deposit down on the new SD 1290!!

Always had sports bikes and have just sold my 2009 Yamaha R1. Very sad to see it go tbh hell of a machine! If i had the money i would keep hold of it. I have a 2011 GSXR 600 as a track bike and my other half passed her test this year and has a very nice SFV650 Gladius!

The SD is going to be quite different for me but i want to have a change and feel sports bikes on the road just aren't fun anymore...theres somthing missing.
I went on a hell of a trip to the stelvio pass in June on the R1 (2400 miles in a week) and that was hard work on some roads but worth it!!! But hopefully with more touring happening and wanting the fun back on the roads hopefully the SD is the one.

My dealer has promised the bike late Jan.

Your local circuit is one of our favourites, we'll be back next year.

Let us know how you get on with the new bike, my 990 seems fast enough with 120bhp, so I think you are in for a treat!
