Hello all!

Excited to be able to post here- sry for the confusion mods.

Purchased an 08 SD recently- always wanted one but they bring big $$ and I just couldn't justify the expense until one popped up recently that was being sold INOP (he knew it was an electrical issue). I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty and love a good project... plus the seller was willing to stand behind the bike's mechanical condition so I took the plunge. New VVR and she fired right up. I will say my wife was not super chuffed about the purchase so its for sale, but at a price I'll never get.... ha! I'm going to have this bike for a while.

Rode it for the 1st time (besides around the neighborhood) today and this is a super fun bike. Love it, and probably a mistake bc I'm here at work and all I can think about are excuses to leave and go ride the thing! I've been riding mostly off-road (single track and dual sport) and also have a KTM 350 XCF-W which is super fun- with the Duke I've got a great KTM for the street too.

The bike has FMF Apex CF pipes which are crazy loud. Think I'll put the sink strainers back in. I was also told it has the Akro (sp?) map- my only complaint is its a little jerky at low rpms, esp in 1st gear. Thought the map was supposed to fix that? Looking at intake systems now too.

Planning to have the wheels powder coated KTM orange next week. Tried the tape, don't really like it.

Welcome! Nice find! Haven't seen those squarish FMF pipes before. The Akra map usually does cause some jerkiness at low RPMs in 1st gear because the throttle response is different.

Hello! Lets get together for a ride sometime.

Yeah, that add is up to make my spouse happy... not to sell the bike!
