Hi All, my name is John from Cheshire.
Not bought a Super Duke yet but I nearly did last week off Ebay (Premier bikes bought it in the end - it was a minter). I am going to wait until next year as I tend to keep my bikes off the road during winter (wimp I know!!) - I'm lucky enough to own 9 bikes inc 2 x KTM's - a 990 Adventure and a 400EXC. I am also very lucky that my missus is nuts about bikes, she has a Honda XBR500, Yamaha 225 Serow off road and a Moto Guzzi V7 cafe racer.

I am mid 50's now & although I have been riding since I was 12 I'm afraid I struggle on the race type bikes I have. I have a Buell XB12s which I guess "style wise" is the closest thing I have to a SD and out of all the bikes we have, I love riding this the most so I can only imagine what a SD will be like.

This year we took the KTM 990 to Switzerland and Italy to ride all the big mountain passes and I met quite a few Super Duke riders. Just fell in love with the SD and I hope to get one in early 2014.

This is a great forum and already I have read lots of interesting articles, tips and tricks etc

thanks and regards
John

Welcome aboard,
I'm sure you'll enjoy the SD when you find the right one.
Show us a picture of your garage - sounds impressive.
What part of Cheshire are you in?

Thought I'd say hello, picking up my (new to me) Super Duke 990 tomorrow, it will be joining my 1050 Sprint as the weapon of choice when I feel like a blast on my own (hoping the wife doesn't want to come as well), don't know how much I'll contribute but I'll definitely be searching the forum for any questions I may have before asking (if I don't find the answers myself). Looking forward to getting back on track (missed out the past couple of years-work etc), maybe meeting up with some of you and generally hooning around.

Cheers, Ray.

Yes, the search button saves being shot down by long time users when looking for answers to questions that have been asked in various ways since the forum began. No doubt I'll still end up asking something that has already been asked and get flamed anyway but hey no one's perfect.

More Bad Company is always okay in my book. Go ahead and pull the rear passenger pegs and brackets off and then the excuse is without guilt. Or do what that member from Canada did and scare the living shit out of her and she'll beg for you to blast out on your own. Wait dont do that cause she made him sell the bike. Welcome in.
