Hi Reb, Ive had mine for about 8 months now, purchased new from team homo in Brisbane. Ive had many bikes in my 20yrs riding and in my opinion the SD is something special. Yeah sure it doesn't match the inline 1000's in HP and top speed #'s but for good clean fun through the twisties, the odd track day, taking the missus on the back occasionally (or her hot friends who all want a turn as well) for the beautiful sound, for the torque, for the orange.......you know its the right choice.

But just so you dont jump in uninformed, they do generally come standard with some minor faults. Mine has had;
a burst oil site tube (common fault)
front brakes stick on a bit (some others have had accidents due to this)
clocks replaced due to neutral light permanent on (faulty clocks are common)
and it also had to have some other oil hoses replaced under warranty

I have just put a set of Akras on mine and love it even more now but I never really had a problem with the so called snatch anyway.

as for whether to opt for the SDR or the SD, I would suggest that if you are already favouring the SDR then chose it. When I was buying I was not even considering the SDR but now im kind of wishing that I did.
