Hi, have had my 2014 Superduke 2 months and love it! just got it back from the 620 mile service also had to have a gasket replaced was leaking some oil. no mods yet
Just a 3M scotchguard clear film on the tank and tank protector . I did flush and change the coolant today, over flow tank was low and no one knew what the red coolant was
so I just changed it. I didn't find any real detailed how too's for the 1290 covering the bleeding so I took about 30 hi res photos from beginning to the end covering
the service manual procedure. i could post them when I get some time.
A pic of my baby the day it came home..

Welcome to the madness comrade. Nice bike - one of the fast black ones

On this forum you'll find the repair manual that details how to drain and fill the coolant. To find it you use the search button and as a hint try searching for "EPIC" as in EPIC thread.

On page 228 of the manual you should take note that the bikes need to be burped to remove any trapped air in the system during refill. This is done by raising the front wheel 50cms.

Enjoy that ride.

Thank's for the welcome jmann, used that search button and found the EPIC thread and service manual with no trouble at all. I'm one for
searching for days before asking for help.
Finished the coolant change, the manual worked great up to the point a hose was were the manual shows a bleed screw should be but
got it raised and burping all done. I'll put some pictures I took doing the coolant change into my album maybe make a little how too I
have not seen one for the 1290 yet.

Hello everyone. I picked up my new 2015 duke last Thursday in black and orange. And I have to say I'm impressed. I've owned a lot of bikes in my near 40 years of riding and this bike is damn near perfect. Currently, I have a BMW K1200GT, Roadstar Warrior, and Honda CBR 1000 in the garage. However the Honda and Yamaha are on the chopping block to make more room for the Duke.
Like others I was looking at the usual popular naked bikes: S1000r, Tuono Factory, and the KTM. All are great bikes but none spoke to me like the Duke does. I've been pleasantly overwhelmed with the level of knowledge on this site. I've already learned so much. I look forward to learning more. I just need to quit buying upgrades for this bike or I'm going to end up in divorce court.

BTW, being from Kansas I've never heard any of the usual Dorthy and Toto jokes....never heard any of 'em.
