Big hello to all on this form from germany but was born in Dublin Ireland
I just got my new 1290 SD Black and managed 500 kms far ..
i was coming from a MT 09 had it two years with Nearly every mod it was a great bike for the price and before a couple of Triumph speed triples 1050 and a tiger 1050 and then a Ducati Street fighter,Ducati Multi Strada

The first mod the bike really needs is the Exhaust but i don't want start a tread on this but after reading here as much as i can
still don't get the following what is the SAS system that gets removed and why
if i get the bodies cat replacement and arrow end can or any make of can do i have to do a remap and whats happens if you don't ..
Also is the warranty effected ????

Hope somebody can help me with this as i don't know what to do regards this and its the mod the bike seems to need first
Thanks for any help with this and look forward the banter on this form with you all
Cheers for now

Welcome on board dude.

SAS is there just to help emissions. Allows air into the headers on the overrun to help burn off any unburnt fuel. If you leave it on with an aftermarket can you'll just get lots of pops, bangs and flames on the overrun. It's not a difficult job to install block off plates and I'm guessing there is a plug from KTM to stop the ECU giving a FI light if you disconnect the SAS system.
