Just signed up as I'm picking up a 990 2007 (2005-6 model) in a week and thought I'd say hello.

I've got a R1200GS at the moment as I bought it to get something a bit less full on than the R1 I had before but I went too far so am trading it against the SD which judging from the test ride will be a lot more fun. Only had the bmw for 4 months but you live and learn. Before the R1 I had an RRY blade that I used in all weathers for 8 years before it started to dissolve and a load of other stuff before that.

Had a 06 SD and went to a K1300R

Saw the error of my ways and now have a 59plate SD
