Just sold my Diavel and purchased my 1290. I added the side and rear seat bags and changed the front and rear seat to the comfort ones. I also purchased the rear stand. And I changed the slip on to the Akapovik one. I was able to use a reverse drill bit and slip the baffle out so I could hear it just a little bit. I just ordered a new windshield, throttle lock, and a tidy tail kit.

I have searched the forum for a little info and it is super confusing when looking at the results. I can't tell what is for the 990 and what is for the 1290.

I really only have 2 questions...

1. Is there a way to raise the handlebars up just a little. I want to go up as far as the stock cables will allow.

2. What is the best bang for my buck as far as removing the cat and tuning it. I am familiar with Ducati and Triumph. This one is just a new animal. I just want to make sure I do it right the first time. Im happy with it except for the popping when I'm coasting. Its not terrible but I would like it to go away.
