Hey Guys,

Just picked up my first superduke. Pretty excited about it. The bike is a all black 2008 model with 4900 miles on the OD. Sadily the bike did not come with a owners manuel. Im hoping to find a download somewhere. The bike is completly stock for now but I know of a few things that I want for it. Is there any basic mods that need to be made or things to watch for? I noticed the throttle is kinda on/off in the lower revs. Any cure for that? Besides that Im loving the bike and cant wait to find some more time to ride it...

Thanks

Justin

My bike before this was a triumph street triple 675. I miss that bike but so far I like the superduke more. Hard to beat the sound of a v twin...

Is a great bike. Bought my duke at the end of August last year. First twin and can't get over how much I love it. But listen to nerd. I have pick up so much valuable info from this forum and you can find just about anything you can think of here.
As for the throttle... It's something ever duke starts with but if you get the O2 sensor removed and the SAS removed that should help. Doesn't cost much. You can get the O2 from dynojet and the SAS removal kit fom motohooligan

Happy happy for you. We seem to have a string of newbies from all over. It seems that the US has had a fair share of sold and boughts in last two months. Take a look at the Hello post from the last couple months and that will be a way to get familiar with what others are asking.
The latest of important modification to come down the pyke are Carbon Fiber mirrors. These may make the bike loft the front a little quick for a newbie so make sure that you match this mod with a throttle cam to match.
Lucky you on you home base. Is it one hour to salt water or twenty minutes to the Honda Hoot?
My wife and I almost landed in Bryson City till I got cold feet. Love your area and VIR is a spectacular track.
Dont be a carbon copy, find some titanium mirrors
