Hey,
greetings from NYC... just was curious... being as this is the forum to ask in... if anyone has ever had a speed triple and swapped out to a super duke... and what their impressions were?
Thanks

BassAgent has both.

Last time I talked to him he said every time he got on the S3 he ended up at a gay bar.

Now he owns a gixxer.

Hey man, that thing steered itself to the gay bar, I just threw my hands up, went "eh... oh well!" and continued in.

If I had to make some quick comparisons:

S3: smooth as fuuuuuck engine/power delivery. About as fast as the superduke. Feels heavier. Doesn't handle as great. Brakes are kinda crappy. Much more comfortable to ride/commute on. Very controllable wheelies.

Superduke: Grunt everywhere (torque). Pulls wheelies like nobodies business, but twitchier power doesn't make it as "easy" to control. Handles excellently. feels much lighter.

Uhh... that's all I can think off the top of my head.

AGRO also had a S3 before getting his superduke. He should have some input.

When it comes down to which one I like/enjoy more, my SDR wins hands down.

A buddy of mine with a Speed Tripe with approximately 5k miles rode my SuperDuke for 30 minutes. When we stopped at the gas station to swap bikes he said: " Dude, I'm going to ask you just once, the Speed Triple and my SV650, no questions asked, for your SuperDuke" I declined. He found an 07 SD and bought it. And loves it now.

Anyone need a funky green low miles SpeedTriple ?

Like bass said I had a 08 speedy that thing had a nice engine but that is where it ends.
I just couldn't get the speed to handle how I wanted and just didn't feel safe.
Like bass said the SD has a twitchy throttle and its hard to go slow on so probably got more chance of a ticket LOL.
My speed had a lot of problems and the SD has had one a flat battery.
Its hard to say to someone that one bike is better than the other because we all have different opinions so your best of getting a test ride on one but the SD is a great bike plus our postman told me today that the super Duke looks unreal

I'm sort-of contemplating selling my speed triple to buy a supermoto, further diversifying my stable, to be honest. Unless I turbo it.

Bass you should just sell the speed3 and turn the gixxer into a muscle bike.
That would be mad mate

What exactly is a muscle bike?

Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology but is like your SD or speed triple just a naked bike with nuts and the gixxer has nuts and it would be nuts front wheel skyward all the time.

Oh you mean pit mandlebars on the Gsxr, remove the fairings, and turn it into a street fighter?
