Hello everyone. I am a new SD owner from Seattle, Washington State.

I have been lusting after a Superduke for quite sometime now but they aren't very common over here. Most had high miles, rebuilt titles or were just beat up looking. After about a year of checking my local classifieds, I found a white 2008 SD with 2,400 miles and all stock, besides tail tidy! Of course I had to have it and drove down to Portland, Oregon and bought it then rode it back 150ish miles in the pouring rain. WELL WORTH IT!

I have owned the bike exactly 8 days so far and LOVE IT. My other bike is a 2010 Husqvarna SM510R Supermotard, which is a blast. I sold a 2000 Honda RC51 so I could buy the SD. I like the more upright riding position of the supermotards and naked sport bikes.

I have already installed Pazzo black billet shorty levers. I have also ordered the FMF Apex exhaust, KTM axle sliders, Motohooligan frame sliders and G2ergonimics quick turn throttle tube. I will be getting the Akrapovic map flashed when I install the FMF's. Before summer I plan to get a rear spring for my weight, SAS removal, Motohooligan airbox, secondary butterfly removal and get a custom tune.

Anyways, here is a picture of the bike the day after I got it with a quick clean up.

April 11th EDIT:

A few new mods to the bike:
FMF Apex, akropovic map, ktm axle sliders, motohooligan upper frame sliders (lowers on their way) and g2 quick turn throttle (50 cam), ktm grips.

Welcome mate. I too recently purchased a SDR but collected it in a van and brought it back last Friday. I managed to take it out today for a quick blast and it was awesome! Enjoy the purchase and have fun

Welcome. They are a special ride and I wish you luck in the reliability department. There are many on this site that have weather conditions that closely mimic the same 99" of anuall rainfall that is Seattle. They will fill you in on all the proper fiddling. Did you ever chase the idea of modification of the Honda to get the SD feel. I had a SuperHawk and wanted to make it more like my eventuall SD but found my knowledge limited as to where to find a conversion. If you need a tankbag PM me. I do like the white with the black swingarm. She's a keeper, be safe.

Bike looks great!
