I've been hanging round the forum for a while now, really liked what I've seen so far. Just bought a new old stock 2009 990SD. Well, it was delivered to my house about 11 weeks ago but due to issues with its registration, I've only been able to ride it from last Monday. In the last week I've discovered what I loved so much on the test drive.

Keeping the engine under 6000 revs for the break in period is killing me.

The only issue I have with the bike is how hot it runs when I'm stuck in traffic, so I've ordered a plug'n'play manual fan switch. Which apparently, when in the off position, doesn't affect the normal operation of the cooling system/fan.

Think my next investment is to be a set of Akrapovic titanium cans.

Any advice on mods/accessories greatly appreciated.
