Hiya folks,

Just got hold of my first Superduke after wanting one from my first sighting back in 2005...Well, better late than never! It's a 2007 in stealth black with 9,500mls, akros and a few other choice bits + bobs. As it looks like the winters finally arived here + I need to get a reissue of the tax disc, I'm looking to give the bike a bit of attention over the next few days/weeks. Will stick a post up in the tech section as from what I can make out this is only for saying hello...only drove it round a couple of city blocks so roll on dry roads so I can get out and cane it properly!!
Cheers,

Chris

Welcome from the frozen West of Scotland. I'm sure you'll love the SD. No other bike has put a smile on my face the way that bike does!

Cheers folks. WOW- what a bike! Managed to get out this afternoon and even tho it was cold the roads were completely dry. Went for a few circuits of my favourite local road and had a hoot. As the guy I bought the bike from said- the SD is so really easy to gel with. Spent the first half hour taking it easy and getting familiar with it but soon found myself going as quick as I usually do on my R1...within an hour of sitting on the damn thing, what a gas! Crazy torque- you really have to get your weight forward when you're on the gas or your either on one wheel (a lot) or having to hold on like bejesus. Fun, fun, fun. Have to say I'm looking forward to getting out again tomorrow cos when I checked out the suspension settings back at the lock-up, they seemed pretty odd. I've dialled in suggested settings from a US mag, Sportsrider so will see how they suit tomorrow. Either way, I can see this bike is going to be hard to behave on- roll on summer!!
