Hi guys, can someone gimmie the owners review of an 08 superduke please. Im buying a new bike as soon as the insurance pays out. Ive been testing riding various bikes, on paper the Supermoto 950 smr sounded like the bike for me but when I took one out I didnt like the lack of feel from the front end. Im guessing the superduke has more weight on the front end and more feel. A dealer has a 08 990 near me with Akros but is reluctant to let me take it for a spin as the weathers a bit crap. Im expecting arm yanking low down torque, super fast handling and that lovely V twin thump Im also expecting poor MPG's. So what are these bikes like maintenance wise?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure what bike background you are from??
If you're coming from an IL4 sports bike it will seem tall, a bit brutal / crude and slightly intimidating to start with. They actually handle really well but it takes a bit of style adjustment before you become comfortable hooning about.
I had all the main jap sports bike types before getting the first SD and I felt the SD was much more fun on the road.
Requires more skill for the same speed which is either additional satisfaction or a pain in the arse depending on your point of view. I recently rode a fully tricked up S1000R BMW as I was thinking of changing and I was surprised to find that my old 06 SD was more fun. In it's own niche its a classic and I'm planning for my current 990 to be a keeper.
Good luck
