Hey, I've just bought an '06 titanium coloured SD. This is my first non-japanese bike, I've previously owned a long line of super sports.
I'm in my 40's now so I was searching for something a bit more comfortable but it still had to handle well. I think the SD fits the bill perfectly.
No doubt I'll be trolling through these pages every spare chance I get.
First thing to do is get a 16t sprocket to get a bit of the snatchiness out of the bottom end, and I'm sure it will be endless from there on.
So look out for me asking questions all over the place (don't worry,I know how to use "search" too)
Keep the shiny side up, Jace.

Thanks for the welcome. Bigash, I checked the sprocket as soon as I brought it home, it's a 17. The bike is untouched after 18,000 klm.
Gotta go, I'm off for a ride up Mt.Nebo/glorious on a perfect monday off work

Hey, just got back from my first ride on the SD , I'm impressed, turn-in doesn't feel quite as sure-footed as the CBR600, but once you're into the corner, the thing's on rails and feels incredibly stable with just a little twitch on the exit (to be expected with this much torque).
The bike is set up for someone heavier that me, so a bit of a fiddle with settings should fix that.
If any of you guys are around the 65kg mark I wouldn't mind hearing what your suspension settings are.
Thanks again for the welcome, Jace
P.S. I just noticed that I'm classified as a "minimoto racer", my daughter and I raced minimoto for a few years,it was a blast.

if you ride nebo and glorious i will definately see you around... that is my stomping ground.
But i will not be up there for the next month as there are going to be piggies everywhere come march... pulling every bike over and trying to defect them for any mod possible.
be careful... after that give me a yell, im ony a 5 min ride from the bottom of those great curves

Hey Mrz32, I'm at Manly so I've got to ride past the city to get there. Do you have inside info about the plods in March ?. My bike's stock so as long as I'm sitting at the cafe, I'm fine. I've heard about them waiting at the cafe and busting everyone with a tail-tidy and whatever else they can find to prise money out of you.
