Hi All, Bought my 08 SD about 6 weeks ago and loving it!.
Im living out near Ipswich, close to Brisbane and use the bike daily for a commute to work in mansfield about 60 Km away through the 100kmh twisties near home .
Ive yet to get away for a good weekend ride to the usual getaways near here.

I was riding an old GTR 1000 and looked at many bikes but fell in love with the SD after sitting on it, loved the looks, the riding position and then the test ride ! i was hooked.

Then came the hard part, thinking of all the excuses to the missus of why the GTR had to go and the SD was to find a home in its place, stuff like, "That Old GTR gives me cramps when I ride, but the Superduke is so comfortable that I hould be so much happier when I get home", and "Fuel is getting so expensive, If I had a superduke that is lighter then....", and " that damm GTR is so hot to ride and with summer comming on, if I had that Superduke ....".
Well it worked and I finally picked her up, the wife rolled her eyes and muttered somthing about "mutton in sheeps clothing (i"m 50 years young next year).

Hope to meet up with some of the other locals from here in the future,

Just joined the ranks of SD owners myself this weekend. Only have about 130 ks up due to the crappy weather. Hope to get a run down to Taralga this weekend when all the local old farts head down that way.

Should be an excellent road to run the bike in.
