Sorry to hear about your theft, had seen it on ebay.

My advice would be to print picture off and take it to local Police Stations asking it to be put in canteen.

Most cops dont ride bikes so would not know what what it is, a picture would help greatly if they saw it out and about

i wont comment too much but police have been absolutely pathetic.

Van has been found but no bike.

Good idea though and i might do that, also maybe take some pics to the local garages.

Gutted for you dude. I honestly think I'd cry like a girl if mine got stolen. Let's hope they crash it and spend the rest of their long lives crippled from neck down being fed, shitting and pissing through a tube

Hi Stinky,

What a bunch of thieving cnuts. Pretty much echo what all the others said. Apparently its less than 25% of bikes get recovered after theft...

My first SD was stolen, its awful cos you look outside and wonder if you've gone mad. Then you get upset and then you get angry. The paranoia that it could happen again never leaves you. oh and never take the insurance companies first offer!

cheers all.

ok i'll fill you in a little bit..

woke up thursday morning at 7.00am to find it gone. Reported to police. Got a call and went through the motions then an email at 2.00pm that day saying case is closed. I was pretty shocked, i understand bikes are hardly ever found again but they never came to see the neighbours or myself etc. Oh i live in the quietest little village ever not some busy estate.

Anyway, i get home and decide to go round all the neighbours to see if they saw or heard anything. One neighbour said she reported a white transit with 3 guys changing the number plate outside her house, this was reported at 1.00am thursday morning. did the police investigate...no. So, we ring police and ask about this...their reply was 'do you think they're connected'....honestly i almost laughed.

Yesterday i find out from the neighbour that the van has been found. The police have not been in touch with me and i only know this talking to my neighbour. I cant believe how incompetent they have been and i am not happy at all.

I just want to get it all sorted with insurance and then i might actually put a complaint in with the police as it just feels like they couldnt be arsed with it at all. And this isnt just a little toy, this is my main transport and hobby, something i have spent a lot of time and money on.

Dont think i'll see again, we all think it was stolen to order and i must have been followed. i suspect its in bits now or out of the country.

i'll keep you updated.

Going to look at bikes this weekend...and yes a Superduke is one of them

hehe if you saw where i lived you wouldnt be so worried about leaving it outside. last report of crime was a flower pot being stolen and that was 4 years ago

Even worse luck is that we move house in 2 months with a fully secure workshop...proper kick in the nuts.
