Hi, I'm Donny from NYC. Look forward to spending countless hours chatting about Dukes.
Cheers!

Hi from New York City. I will be picking up my new 08 Super Duke from Bentleys in P.A. on Saturday and riding it the 350 miles home. I am super excited, I have heard so many great things about the Duke but never had a chance to ride one. I have a 950 Adventure so I am familiar with and looking forward to fixing the LC8 gremlins but I have no experience with fuel injection so I know I will have a lot of questions to post here.
I look forward to meeting all of you and hopefully I will have something to offer in return as I know I will need a lot of help!

Just got home with the bike. Rode it 400 miles so far and love it!! Stuck to mostly back roads for the breaking in so took about 10 hours . I was surprised how comfortable the riding position is and the handling is amazing. Not so happy with the bumps though, so I think I need to start by getting the suspension dialed in. Fueling was surprisingly good (knock on wood) after all the horror stories I have heard but I did notice a an awful lot of vibration through the foot pegs from 5000rpm up. Much more than on my 950 Adventure.
Anyway, I really love it and can't wait to get everything dialed in.

Welcome to the SD club, good that you enjoyed the ride back - wonder what you would have done if you hated it...?
Much of the fuelling glitches can be ironed out with replacement end cans, I assume yours are standard at the mo?

I would have hidden it in the bushes and called my insurance agent.
I still have the standard cans. Trying to work my way through this site to see what people like best. I have Wings on my 950 Adventure and like them. I am very confused about the ECU but I will keep reading and thanks SDsteph, I am always up for a ride and would love to have some help with Tuneecu.

Hey bud - I'm in NYC too. Park my SDR at Ryder's Alley. Check it out if you haven't done so already. Parking, workshop and track day meets - great business run by a bike fanatic!

Hey Exitman I park there too. I'm pretty sure that I met you before you moved to midtown. I have the 950 Adventure and the 450 EXC parked with Demian.
