Hi, I come from an MX background and bought my first road bike in 07 (07 XB12R) and followed that with a 06 RSVR Aprilia. Both good bikes in there own ways, they cant however compare to the 07 Duke I have just purchased. I have put a 2 into 1 exhaust on it and loaded the akro map with tuneECU. Mods for the immediate future include colour change, my own version of a moto hooligan type air intake, ejection of the SAS & 2nd flies and finer tuning of the ECU. Looks like heaps of good help for me on here

Welcome to the nuthouse.

Is your exhaust only attached by the link pipe, or is there something else else I can't see? Only asking as I'd be worried about a stress point on the the link pipe if that was the case.

Looks good with the low pipe though.

Yes, the bracket is mounted on the intermediate pipe and attached to the frame by way of a firm rubber bush.

Hi there Chris, nice bike, great choice for NZ roads, i had one for 18 months and 18,000Ks, loved it and did quite a few track days on it. Traded it for a GT. I was reading your rear rider sag thread, the 2014 SD had quite soft spring rates, suited for a rider around 80KG. Mine from new (SDR), i checked rider sag=45mm, free sag=28mm, i gave it 2 full turns of preload to get 37mm rider sag and 22mm of free sag, i found this ideal for my riding style and the occasional track day.
