Hi there!
I currently ride a Buell XB12, which believe it or not is a fun bike - better than you may initially think anyway!
The Buell has to go though, as just shakes itself to death - the number of parts that have fatigued and bust from the vibs is just unreal. Plus the 08 XB12 models have had really crappy fuelling (... and I then go for a snatchy 08 SDR?!... )
And of course I am just sick of getting passed 15m out of every corner just as soon as 600 supersports get on the gas. Would be nice to fiend them off to 120mph instead!
The only hitch may be seeing what comes out from KTM 09 - especially if they fix some of the SDR more obvious faults? Not sure about the venom... Could be fun if it comes out next year.
Live in London, commute 1-2 days a week 90 mile round trip (fun on a SDR...). Use bikes all year round.
Cheers

I went from an XB12 to an 07 SD, have ridden my old bike a few times since and each time I though "great decision to get the ktm" and "can we switch back right now". The XB hits the revlimiter straight away, vibrates like mad and that bloody fan is on all the time... it's still a quicker turning bike but everywhere else the SD is the better of the two. I'm now considering going for an SDR for more power and an orange frame haha

That's great to hear! I suspected as much. I kindof push the XB a little hard, hence things breaking. Not in a rough way, just limits of it's design/capability.
