I'm back (almost...)

Hello all, I've been gone for a while, I sold my SDR and bought an RC8 - boo, hiss!

Sold it after a year and a bit, but not before I had a ball on it and took it to Phillip Island for a track day. A great bike with the amazing build quality of the SDR.

After that I bought another Aprilia - an immaculate Mk 1 Tuono in silver and red. Had to ride that one back from Bendigo to Adelaide but it was well worth it.

I also bought an original condition GSXR750 SRAD in blue and white - shipped over from Perth. That was my next Phillip Island track day bike and it was awesome too.

Then to scratch a lifelong itch, I sold both and bought myself an MV Agusta F4 in classic sliver and red. It's dripping with carbon and has a titanium Bodis exhaust. Seriously - the loudest fooking bike I've ever heard! But it's not an offensive loud, it sounds like nothing else. The closest I can think of is an atmo F1 car. It's amazing and scary fast. Build quality is insanely good too.

Another bike was added: a 2001 R1 which I had to drive 17 hours (non stop) on a transit van to pick up, but was well worth the effort. I've added an exhaust, Racetech suspension, K&N filter and a few other bits and pieces. I raced it almost bog standard (still in road fairings with headlights taped up!) in a three hour endurance race. Almost killed me (it was 39 degrees Celsius) but the bike lapped it up.

And then I got another v twin itch. I'm waiting to pick up an immaculate, almost standard 2009 SDR in a couple of weeks and I can't wait! I'll have to fly to get it and ride it back, but that's always been one of my favourite trips - getting to know a new bike.

I'll be hitting the search button to remember all the mods I did to my last one - lower bars, tuneecu, exhaust and air box mods.

The only thing that shits me now is how much exhausts have gone up - $1100 for a Yoshi when a few years ago I paid $550!

Anyway, I'm back. Can't wait to wheelie again!
