Hey guys n gals.

Name's Aron, 32, live in South East Brissy. Only been riding for a year and a half and so far had a pretty rough trott.

1st LAMS bike, CB400 wrote off after 4 months cause my ambition outweighed my ability.
2nd LAMS, SV650s dropped after 3 months, nothing major just road litter and sold 2 months ago.
3rd, Daytona 675 which was my pride and joy, jet black, arrow exhaust, shorties, tehcspecs and some carbon bits. Stolen 5 weeks ago from under my house.

Now, offer made on an stock 07 Superduke. Love the triples but chose this cause it has the power of the Daytona, handling of the Street and comfort of the Speed i.e. can do track days, can tear up my local mountains and can tour on it. Hopefully it passes RWC next Tuesday. Have some minor mods planned at this stage with first and foremost being a full crash protection set hahaha

Thanks KTM666. Have read most of your thread on the MH to DNA filter swap and Dyno's etc. Up to page 10 or 11 I think. You end up getting it sorted?

G'Day mate!
Don't worry to much about the crashes hopefully you won't
Have anymore. I've had some big ones when I was a teen.
The thing is that some of us get away with it and some don't.

Dont be ashamed of crashing a few bikes, crashing teaches you a lot, I have never met a seasoned crasher who is not scary fast and really understands how a motorcycle works

Sure the ego hurts a little, but the wallet hurts more haha. In fact one of the specialist bike insurers won't insure me now

@ One67 - Thanks for the welcome, and here I was thinking I'd be an individual. One of the reasons I bought the Duke over the Street is because every second new rider is getting a Streety, wanted to be different haha.

@Troy - Mate Im super stoked with it, went for a strap last night and heading out again tonight. There is a couple of boys from OSB riding the Gold Coast on Sunday. Where will you be at?

While Im at it can either of you tell me where to get a Tuneecu cable? The guy I bought it from removed the cat and its got a bad overrun pop which is getting annoying already. Im thinking of downloading a slip on map to fix it - will this help?

Yeah saw the OSB ride but no logic for me riding north to meet up with some hooligans to ride south when i'm already here

The o2 sensors put extra oxygen into the exhaust to finish off unburnt fuel (causing popping when it ignites). Its mostly for emmissions reasons and is needed when you've got a catalytic converter to save it form getting trashed. When you remove the cat, you don't really need them anymore.
Some people like the popping though
We should organise some garage time sometime soon, will only take an hour or less to do most of the above.

FYI there is no need for the resistors for the O2, SAS or 2nd/3rd limiter. They can all be turned via TuneECU

If turning off the SAS, you can just bung the hose with either a marble or bolt, if you don't have the block off plates.

I know that when I turned it off, but still had it connected, it was popping/banging like a pill-head whore, but stopped when I turned it back on. So yeah, it needs blocking.

You can disconnect it from the valve and just stick a bolt in the end of the hose still connected to the engine, if you want.
