I for one like that color. The Brembo sticker helps me realise this is one serious machine. There is someone on this sight that runs real strong on lawns and has installed a mower attachment to trim around racetrack borders. The name escapes me right now but someone will by soon to fill in the blanks. If these plugheads dont scare you away from filling in more than holes in your swingarm , perhaps, if not thoroughly perturbed, you could fill in more of the blanks.
Your bike strikes a nice pose. Do tell more TP holder.

It's interesting seeing the SD in colours anything other than the ubiquitous black/orange/white. These always tend to look race/ competition orientated and seeing the bike in more subdued metallics really changes the personality of the bike.

This paint could easily have come from the Honda big tourer colour brochure. It's mature, sophisticated and presents an interesting contrast to the aggressive, angular SD styling.

Did you do this yourself TankPod? What was your thoughts and decision process in going this way?

Yes indeed i did paint it myself due to the recent wreck she needed a fresh coat of paint. Its a 3 stage paint "Candy Apple Red" as was for all intensive purposes very easy..... just lots of prep work. this last time around the following was preformed:

Used set of apex Carbon pipes off this forum from another member.
Another set of CRG shorty's
New CRG arrow mirrors
Smoked intergrated LED tail lamp
quick shift
did away with the PC3 and got some custom mapping done with my new TuneECU cable
New mofset RegRec
RC8 stacks
motohooligan airbox
2nd butterfly's removed
Fresh fluids all the way around & Pilot road 3's
Scorpio SR‑i900R alarm.
Borsig Paddock Stand w/Rollers

Needles to say she runs like a top now
I'm in North Dakota USA
