Bougt a black Superduke 2005 earlier this summer, but always wanted a Repsol bike. So some painting-hours later it now looks like this...

Looks like a nice execution mate.

But it leaves me non-plussed! No disrespect to you at all but I've never really understood why anyone wants to turn their own possession into a free advert for a multi-national. Especially an oil company that is so associated with one make of motorcycle that as you speed around on your great Austrian bike most people will now subliminally think it was a bland, dull, ubiquitous Honda.

Each to his own though. But I do de-brand everything if at all possible. And I will be accused of turning everything black and boring and that it must reflect my inate boringness as a person.

But.....

no one associates Repsol with KTM.

Branding is all about associations and values. Repsol is a Spanish petrolium company that puts a lot of effort into sponsoring Spanish riders in Spanish series. Their ONLY, ONLY, ONLY objective is to raise the public awareness of their brand, their name, their identity, their colours - so that they sell more petrol, (in their markets). If you are a big fan of Petrol companies and Spanish motorsport then I'm happy that you like to promote their brand. As you say it's a free world. I wasn't having a go at you - just pointing out that you are unwittingly playing their game. Mr.Repsol and co must be laughing their heads off.

I think that there should be a fee paid to anyone promoting a brand. (By the way, then you would see whether Repsol thought your efforts were worth something, if they didn't sell petrol in your country then they wouldn't see it having much worth I'm afraid.)
