Hey there people, owned a SD for a week and already been looking at doing some recommend mods. I have come from a Kwack Z750 and can't believe how well these bikes handle! superb! I love everything about the bike except for the terrible snactchy throttle. Reading up on here, there seems to be a couple of fixes that I will be trying.

My bike has a load of SD.net stickers all over it so I assume the previous owner use to lurk on here? or indeed the owner before him. I will se if I can post a pic up to see if anyone knows the bike.

I do have a question regarding TuneECU. I have ordered the cables from ebay etc. Although my bike is on a '58' plate I think it is a 2006 model as it has orange clocks, diff tank etc. Doed this mean I need to use an 05-06 map and not the 08 one?

Anyone know this bike?:

I bought it knowing it was an 05-06 model but very strange how it was only registered at the very end of 2008 (almost a 2009 reg). Guess KTM had some stock lying around or it was a demonstartor.

It has only 4,300miles but 6 owners? its totally mint to.

cool bike - congrats and welcome on ...

from what i understand the earlier models had different cams i think and made slightly more HP ? ( Someone chime in on this ) . So if you're going to do map changes i suspect you'll want to use a map that is for a bike same year and with the same modifications as yours - Obviously you have different exhaust so that's a modification .. As far as the snatchy throttle goes , you probably already know about the throttle tamer available and there is also the motohooligan box - i swear it made a huge difference on my bike . anyway good luck and let the good times roll .
