last night after work I rode the first 25 kms on my new 1290 SDR, dont know what to think yet, but I do have to adjust the ergos LOL, Im one of the gravity challenged set!
but I can get both boot tips on the ground at the same time sometimes!
I finally traded my 990SD and MY MV brutale, and a large chunk of change, for the orange goodness now gracing my driveway , I even committed to the unthinkable, and insured it!
Im looking forward to meeting some of you in lively discourse, on these hallowed pages and humbly ask for sound direction and opinion, when Im confused and unsure .
Well enough about moi, I hope you all have a great day, Im off to try and figure out those electronics again and ride some more running in kms

Thanks for the welcome guys, the trade ins were an 06 910R Brutale with 37k on it and my much loved 05 990SD with all the fruit(akros, rotty mapped, and suspension and body upgrades, lottsa carbon) with just over 50k on the clock, I really didnt want to part with the 990SD, and I still dont know if the 1290SDR, is going to do it for me in quite the same way.
Ive only done a few hundred kays on the 1290 so far but even riding it like a nana cause Im running it in, I can sense this bikes heritage, even though I havent found the beast yet, I trust that when this student is ready the master will appear!! LOL.
