Rode numerous bike in early life (both on and off road) then family life took over.
Returned to biking 8 years ago.
Started back off with a Yamaha FRZ400 - bought cheap.
Kawasaki ER-6F - more practical commute.
Triumph Daytona 675 - fun.
Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport - thought I'd be more mature.
Been pondering over the SDR for the last 12 months, collecting tomorrow.

M1rk,

Welcome! Collecting a 1290 or 990?

Either way, they are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Don't think being close to 50 will make you sensible on it !!!!!....I'm 50 and i've never been so naughty on two wheels! tut tut

1290 in black. Was supposed to be ready at 10.30 but wasn't until 2.00pm. Speaking to dealer he had loads of bikes going out today - spent a couple of last hours on the old bike in the Beacons before collecting. Just got back after picking up 1290 and can't stop smiling and chuckling. Only managed 120 miles but hey ho there's always tomorrow . Only down side was that it pi**ed down when going over the Rhigos and the bikes now covered in crap due to the bl**dy lorries coming from the forestry!

Markey - yes same place in Pontypridd. Was yours also black but with the akro, tail tidy and 'special' orange wheels (very nice).

Hypermoto - yes kids (and grandkids) think it's great but the "boss" has a different opinion. Talking of the "boss" still haven't told her that there's a different bike in the garage! Bl**dy hell my moto's got me in trouble again - decide with heart, face consequences later. Will keep informed how big the wobbler is.

Markey - sorry from Tonyrefail, couple of miles from Pontypridd.
