Hi all

Had an 06 SD which I sold 2 years ago

Bought an 11 plate Beemer K1300R which is very fast and very good albeit long enough to be a barge

Saw the pictures of the new SD in MCN

Hmmmmm, what do I do now ?

You're asking a load of SD owners on the SD forum if you should keep the BMW or buy another SD......

Hmmm, I wonder

Why not have both (funds permitting) I have a zzr1400 which is also a barge but good two up and an 06SD. Good combo I think.

Welcome back by the way

Just Photoshop the K1300R side by side with the 1290 Super Duke R and you'll have answer.

I've only had a couple of experiences with the K . Once following a bloke across some mountain ranges and subsequently, a demo ride. Packed with technology and bloody fast. Cracked my nuts on the tank when I shut the throttle off too fast, after scaring myself when the front wheel shot skyward unexpectedly.

If I had one sitting alongside the 990 SDR now, I think it would be used for daily commuting and the KTM for fun.

The real issue in Oz is that we have to register each bike. Are there any jurisdictions where you can swap rego plates across many bikes or where the charges are on the licences to ride rather than each vehicle?

Really - Fair play Sir, you must have revved it through the red and dumped the clutch to get that to happen !

Vehicle licensing the same here, all individually taxed and registered

And I think I've just remembered how to 'edit' and 'quote' correctly now
