This is the toughest site in the world to join. I've been trying since January 1. I finally had to create a new user ID, thus I finally made it.

I picked up this baby during the last week of December.

Pardon the chicken strips, the suspension is not yet set up for my weight. The bike doesn't want to lean and stands up early. The forks are way too stiff, but, I'm terrible at tuning suspensions and I haven't had a chance to take it to my suspension guy yet.

Nevertheless, I love this bike. I fell in love during a test ride a few months ago. That little ride created an itch I just couldn't scratch until I picked up my baby up from 3 Bros KTM in Muriette, CA. Its maiden voyage was spent exploring Palomar mountain and the roads around Julian. Sweet.

Lots of questions to come.

Well, today I finally found time to go for a ride. Before departing, I decided to make an adjustment to the front forks. I recalled that the service tech said he added some compression dampening, so I decided to set that back to the recommended stock setting, 15 clicks from full closed.

Well, when I turned the adjustment screw clockwise to the full closed position, it only moved 5 clicks. So, I backed it out 15 clicks and voila, a much more composed bike that will actually lean in corners.

I took it to Decker Canyon in the Malibu Hills - where I first test drove an SD a few months ago. I haven't stopped grinning since.

Oh, and while I didn't completely wipe out the chicken strips, they are now significantly smaller.

I usually don't push hard enough on the road to completely wipe them off. I save that for the track.

But, I am concerned that the stock Corsa IIIs seem to have developed a flat spot in less than 400 miles.
