Any one install the Akrapovic graphics on their 1290 yet. Just got mine in the mail and was not sue about the steps. Do you remove the stock graphics? And if so how. And what's is the best cleaning method before applying.

From what I can gather, it is a 2 stage operation.
1) Install graphics
2) Peel off graphics and chuck in bin (as half the owners do).
As far as removing stock graphics, probably not if you wish to perform step 2.

You nailed it. They are not high quality graphics. Waisted $100. I've installed many sets of graphics on my dirt bikes. It was always easy to re adjust the position while installing. Not these. You have to get it right the first time. Now with the graphics installed not sure if I like them. I have to mention how funny this is. I thought the stock bike in the photos looked plain and the Akrapovic bike looked more trick. But after seeing the bike in person. (the orange one of course). It look very clean. And now that I installed the Akrapovic graphics. They don't look as clean as they did in the photos. I guess I will leave them on for a few day to see if they grow on me. But I don't know;(.
