Bad corporate decision IMO ,,and can only hurt KTM in the long run,,,,to many "un-sold" unit's here already,,,and as the economy here is still on hold the writing is on the wall,,,,,they will be giving these thing's away in the end,,,,how low will the price's go

What a letdown, I was really hoping to see an 1190 adventure this year. A round of dunce caps for the heads of talking heads who think we need another farklized version on the old 990. Where the hell is this new 390 we were supposed to be getting. I love the Ktm products, but the company seems to have it head firmly entrenched in its own ass when it comes to bringing new "Street" products to North America.

Perhaps you guys over the pond should just stop buying Harley's. Then the world would start sending proper bikes to the States. Perhaps KTM et al think you all want big lumps of iron

I found a "GOOD" KTM LC8 guy at Razzee in R.I. ,,,much better than the people that I bought the bike from,,,Brian down there "know's" the LC8,,,,he dialed in my bro's SMR with a re-jet, moto box and Leo install without even trying ,,,the thing run's super,,,,,,so when the time comes that is where I will go,,,and as far as HD buyers,,,that is an estimate like the unemployment figures,,,,,,it's all wrong never wanted to be a Hell's Angel,,,,,,

Looks like I won't be walking Into to a KTM street dealer (though I do love my dirt XCF-W 250/280) for a couple more years. After having owned 3 street 990's--I will simply have to "suffer" with the Tuono V4 a bit longer....

You guys must be living in KTM black hole. There are 3 KTM dealers in 100 mile radius from me, and another 7 or so in 300 mile radius. Never had any problems finding a good mechanic. It's true KTM does need to work on its image if they want to sell to the masses. Imagine if KTM paid for advertising in Tron 2.0 instead of Ducati. The SD and especially RC8 look like something straight out of Tron. Instead, mid western new college grad dork who just got a job in the bay at google goes and buys a ducati because super hero dork in Tron rides a cafe sport. Some random start-up new marketing girl goes and buys a ducati because she saw Keira Knightly ride around town in a coco channel commercial. I don't think you will ever see a girl in states ride a SD for fear of being bitten or throw off during random wheelie. Not to mention "The Long Way Around", that show alone is worth 10 Dakar rally wins for BMW. I've lost count on the number of times I've heard the argument that BMW is better because the boxer engine is more reliable since it was invented before ww2, and the shaft drive is safer. But, really, do we want the hipster/cruiser/squid masses riding KTM? It's bad for our image. Society is de-evolving everyone into pansy ass girls, doesn't mean we should too.

Saw the new 690 duke in Toronto this weekend.
They have the price below $10,000 now but did things to cut costs.... like no fork adjustments at all.
The preproduction seat also looked not so good with bad stiching.
