Finally finally (after 3 years) buying a 990. 2012 leftover bin bastard mongrel.

Want to avoid ruining it too quickly, so here's a few questions for you experts and clueless enthusiasts (I'm the latter)

Fuel tank, these were an issue because ethanol fooked them up right? Is this still a problem? Can't find any recent posts anywhere really. Do peoppe coat the insides of the tank, or run premium fuel? Or have KTM acknowledged that the cocked up and replace them now..?

This bike has standard downpipes/headers, with akra cans. Does it need maps switching when baffles go out? Because baffles will go out.

I understand that during casting of the engine block, some had sand left over inside, this then ate the water pump blades.. preemptive flush? Or consider water pumps a consumerable?

Not especially important right now but for interest, how is fork preload set? The tops don't have rings

Is it only early calipers that needed a lot of attention or do later ones need a bi-annual strip down too

2nd gear limiter thing.. have I got one and how can I make it piss off
