About to pull trigger on mid pipe. Just making sure...

Done a ton of reading, and wanted to clarify before ordering (or not).

A mid pipe/link pipe is good for about 8 pounds of weight loss, but no performance gain when used with the stock can and most don't get an Akra map because letting it idle for a few minutes resets the factory ecu.

And depending on which link pipe the noise is either obnoxious (Arrow?) or nice and throaty without being raspy.

I plan to get a Remus. Second choice is Bodis.

I can just tell you from my experience

On my first Superduke. I had the akra slip on, Arrow Mid Pipe and K&N filter in the airbox. I ran the akra map in it and it ran great.

I have the following:

Bodis Decat (Mid Pipe)
Akrapovic slip on (baffle removed)
K&N Filter
Akrapovic Map.

It rides great, a big difference to standard, I just need to fit the SAS blanking plates as the popping on decelleration gets right on my tits!!

Thanks to all. I found this.
Evidently 7HP from just a mid pipe and nothing else.

You will need at least the Akra map upload or even better a PCV to get any good gains

Should run ok (just) without one but not really recommended
