I just installed the full Akra on my 1290 today. Don't be fooled by the relatively poor audio on all the You Tube videos, including the ones done by Royal Jordanian. None of those videos do the system justice when it comes to portraying how loud the system is. It's full on obscenely loud without what passes for a baffle. I have a dB meter but I didn't even bother with it. Just little throttle blips to 3,000 rpm are insanely loud. I may do some dB readings but the baffle is definitely going in and it will still be plenty loud!

It helps if you get the bike all of the way out of the garage and into the driveway. Just being in the doorway with the exhaust pointing to the driveway is not enough and that's why I thought it super loud. It is loud but not as bad as I thought. I ran a dB meter test according to the SAE procedure. So here we go ----- with the baffle out & idling the meter bounces between 90 to 92 dB, so for the sake of argument let's call it 92. Holding at 5,000 rpm it shows 100-101 dB, call it 101. If you rap the throttle it goes to 107.

With the baffle in at idle it's 88-89 dB. Call it 89. Rev up to 5 grand and it goes to 98-99 dB. Call it 99. Rap it and its the same 107-108 dB.

So just slightly quieter by 2 dB with the baffle in except when you're on the gas. It definitely has a more bass tone with the baffle out. I've run it baffle in and baffle out. Baffle is in at the moment but I'll likely yank it back out in a bit. Seems like a pretty fine line, if any, between being obnoxious or not. If you want to call it obnoxious I think you've had it either way.

Mine is in the mail as we speak.

Just trying to decide which tuner and intake to get, leaning toward the Motohooligan airbox and Rapidbike Tuner

Does the Akrapovic Full System include the charcoal canister removal or just the SAS bits?

Growler: Nice, thanks for the info. I can see the gains from the PC5 on the graphs. Did you get a chance to ride the bike between the various dyno runs? If so, what does the "seat of the pants" say? Basically, I'm on a budget and trying to see if the PC5 is necessary, or more of a luxury. Smoother fuelling? Better or worse mpg, etc....? Oh, and do you have a Rottweiler or MotoHooligan airbox fitted? Thanks, Michael.

Does anyone have a dyno readout out with the A/F of a bike with a stock airbox with the full Akrapovic?

Can someone explain how to remove the dB Killer from the Akra/KTM Evo 2 System?

Royal Jordanian posts a video that just shows him pulling it out with pliers... but does that bolt under the rubber thing on the end of the can have to be removed first?
If so, it seems easy that that bolt could fall off the end of the Hex key and go bye bye.... I'm guess taking the can off is the safest bet?
If I take it out, I want to be able to put it back in.
