We picked up the Wifes new bike and it's got orange blood lol.
She saw the duke 390 (white) at the dealer and fell in love, I rode it home and it's a real nice bike, except I am too big for it lol (think bowser in Mario kart).
Didn't go above 7000rpm due to break in but it's peppy, the brakes are great and it handles great as well
Picked it up used with all of 19.5 miles on it. Guy bought it, rode it home...had no time to ride, moving to the city so he traded it back in on scooter lol.
Got the ergo seat on the way as part of the deal, next it needs a tidy tail, levers, and sliders (her first bike).
Other than that it's just gonna get fluids and maintained.
So I went from never gonna get a bike due to A-holes on the road to now having 3 in the stable in less than a year.
Started with my KLX400 dual sport and loved it but wanted to set it up more for dirt/trail.
Then the SD 2 months later due to wanting a street bike, still get that lovin feeling every time I ride it!
Now the wife has her Duke so we can ride on the weekends.
I will say the stable is now full!

Nice! It gets better past 7k. Keep an eye on the front brake. My gf's Duke started to get spongey. It's fun to rail a corner at full tilt and not brake the speed limit every time.

Becoming a popular choice for the wives/girlfriends of SD owners. Things definitely liven up north of 7k rpm. ABout the only thing I want to change is a quick action throttle. Standard one is good for newish riders but when time comes she wants more it will probably be an easy way to improve things. Take a bloody big twist.
