Well sh*t. Last night I was reading ktmguy's post about his bike being written off and feeling bad for him, and today I made a mess of mine. Truck in front of me dropped a shed load of diesel on a sweeper and next thing I know I'm sliding across the road, heading for the guardrail. Bike hit it, thankfully I pulled up just short

R&G sliders, axle bobbins, case protectors & exhaust protectors did their job & minimised the damage

The sliders probably allowed the bike to keep going. The gear lever was fooked but managed to get it into 3rd for the ride to repair shop

EDIT:How the f*ck can I get the photos to show up on this page, rather than as a link? I suck at this posting shite

That sucks, good you are OK though.

Regarding the pictures, while in photobucket copy the IMG URL showing on the right side of the picture. Select that and it will automatically copy. Then just paste that link into your post. Don't use the Img button (not necessary), just paste the one from photbucket like this:

You have to click the Img button and paste the url between the tags as seen here:

Looks like the sliders did a good job. Did you get the dude to pullover so you can put him at fault with insurance?

Glad you're OK!

From the photos, at first blush the bike appears repairable. BTW - direct posting of photos on the site: Not allowed; links only ... It's definitely NOT you.

I was really only joking about "Austrailia is Dangreous" in KTMGuy's thread - it wasn't intended as a "challenge". Why did you want to prove the statement accurate?

Glad you're OK!

Also seems the protection did a great job.

Probably the last thing you think about during and accident but like Bassie said make sure you take details of the other vehicle involved!

A friend of mine crashed some weeks ago and the frame was broken as well, fyi it only costs 1400€ to replace it, incredible cheap, isn't it? As for the look of the bike (front rim, radiator, engine cover, gas tank and its cover, all the left side scratched, talilight, etc...) we all were almost sure it would have been a write-off (there were no frame sliders, the bike was yet running in), but no way
